HISTORY OF BWN

The first organizational meeting was held in June 1985. At that meeting the Certificate of Incorporation was presented and thus the formation of the Business Women's Network was launched.
  
For the past 25 years BWN has been the premier women's networking group. The organization has held events like the "Celebration of Women" and many fund raising functions. BWN's main purpose is to encourage networking amongst members and the Pueblo community, the undertaking of raising money to award scholarships to two local business students, one each from PCC and CSU-P has become a prime focus.

BWN MISSION

The purpose of this corporation is to bring together women of diverse achievements and businesses. The Business Women's Network seeks to foster association among women to enable them to develop support systems personally and professionally, and to provide a forum for the exchange of ideas and experiences. Business Women's Network members will become aware of work fields, mutual interests and attitudes. They will have the opportunity, when desired, to exert influence for the betterment of women. The Business Women's Network will provide broad educational programs and information for its members in an atmosphere and an organization in which members can meet and continue networks of influence. The Business Women's Network will not discriminate in its membership as to race, creed, color, age, sex or religion.
